FOOTBALL FOR PEACE WATER GALA 2026 UNITES GLOBAL LEADERS TO CHAMPION WATER SUSTAINABILITY

On 12th May 2026, Football for Peace successfully hosted its flagship Water Gala “Rehydrate the Earth” at CÉ LA VI, bringing together an inspiring gathering of global leaders, philanthropists, athletes, entrepreneurs and changemakers committed to advancing water sustainability and environmental action.

The second edition of the Water Gala marked a significant milestone for Football for Peace and its growing global Water Programmes across India and the United Kingdom. Building upon the momentum of the inaugural event, the evening served as a powerful platform for dialogue, collaboration and fundraising in support of innovative solutions addressing the global water crisis.

The gala welcomed distinguished guests from across the worlds of sport, business, philanthropy, diplomacy and entertainment. Attendees included Football for Peace ambassadors, strategic partners, sustainability advocates, corporate leaders and supporters who share a collective vision of creating a more water-secure future for communities around the world.

Hosted by Braydon Bent, the evening featured a dynamic programme of keynote addresses, impact showcases and engaging discussions centred on the urgent need for action on water conservation, access and environmental stewardship. Guests heard powerful stories of change from communities benefiting from Football for Peace’s water initiatives, while experts and partners highlighted innovative approaches to addressing global water challenges.

A central focus of the event was Football for Peace’s ongoing work through its India and UK Water Programmes. Guests learned about projects ranging from rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge systems to water literacy campaigns and youth-led environmental leadership initiatives. These programmes continue to empower local communities while creating scalable models for long-term sustainability.

The evening also celebrated the role of sport and culture in driving positive social impact. Guests enjoyed a special live performance from acclaimed British Punjabi artist H Dhami, whose energetic set brought the audience together in celebration of the gala’s mission and impact.

Adding to the memorable atmosphere of the event, renowned television personality and entertainer Denise Van Outen took to the decks for an exclusive DJ set, providing a vibrant soundtrack to an evening dedicated to purpose, partnership and positive change.

The gala also reinforced Football for Peace’s commitment to youth empowerment through sport. Young leaders and programme beneficiaries were recognised for their contributions to environmental advocacy and community engagement, demonstrating how sport can be a catalyst for education, social cohesion and sustainable development.

One of the evening’s highlights was the fundraising segment, which featured exclusive experiences, live auction opportunities and philanthropic pledges from supporters. Funds raised during the gala will directly support the expansion of Football for Peace’s water-focused initiatives, enabling greater access to clean water resources and sustainable environmental solutions in underserved communities.

The event provided an important opportunity to celebrate the partnerships that continue to drive Football for Peace’s mission forward. Representatives from collaborating organisations, corporate partners and community stakeholders were recognised for their shared commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact through collective action.

Reflecting on the success of the evening, Football for Peace reaffirmed its belief that meaningful change is only possible through collaboration, innovation and sustained community engagement. The Water Gala 2026 demonstrated the power of bringing together diverse voices and sectors to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time.

As the organisation continues to expand its global water initiatives, the success of this year’s gala further establishes the Water Gala as a leading platform for sustainability advocacy, partnership-building and impact-driven action.
