FOOTBALL FOR PEACE ANNOUNCES WATER GALA 2026: “REHYDRATE THE EARTH”
Global peace-building organisation Football for Peace is set to host its highly anticipated Water Gala 2026: “Rehydrate the Earth” on 12th May 2026 at CÉ LA VI, bringing together influential leaders, changemakers and supporters for an evening dedicated to sustainability, innovation and global impact.
Marking the second edition of a growing global initiative, the gala is led by Football for Peace in collaboration with its India and UK Water Programs. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the event aims to spotlight the urgent global water crisis while driving tangible action through community-led solutions, education and cross-sector partnerships.
At its core, the initiative focuses on water sustainability, access and conservation, particularly in vulnerable communities across India and the UK. Through its Water Programs, Football for Peace has been actively delivering impactful projects including rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, water literacy campaigns and youth-led environmental leadership—creating long-term, scalable change at grassroots level.
The evening will welcome guests from across sport, philanthropy, business and entertainment, all united by a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and social impact. A carefully curated programme of keynote speeches, panel discussions and live showcases will highlight the importance of collective action in addressing global water challenges.
A key highlight of the gala will be its continued emphasis on youth empowerment through sport, reinforcing Football for Peace’s mission to use football as a tool for education, dialogue and social cohesion. The event will also celebrate partnerships and initiatives that are delivering measurable impact across communities worldwide.
The night will feature an engaging fundraising segment, including a live auction and exclusive experiences, with proceeds supporting the expansion of Football for Peace’s water-focused programmes. Guests will have the opportunity to directly contribute to initiatives aimed at improving access to clean water and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
With its unique blend of purpose, collaboration and world-class execution, the Water Gala 2026 is set to further establish itself as a flagship event within the global sustainability calendar—uniting voices and inspiring action towards a more resilient and equitable future.
