“MIRZAPUR: THE MOVIE” TRAILER UNVEILS BIGGER BHAUKAAL, A GRANDER WORLD & HIGHER STAKES

The wait is finally over. The much-awaited trailer of Mirzapur: The Movie has arrived, giving audiences their first extensive look at the next chapter of the iconic Mirzapur saga. Taking one of India’s biggest streaming franchises from the world of episodic storytelling to the big screen, the film promises Bigger Bhaukaal, A Grander World and Higher Stakes as the battle for the Gaddi enters an entirely new arena.

The King, the Prince and the Lions of Mirzapur are back — and this time, they’re bringing the Bhaukaal to cinemas.

Picking up from the world established in Season 1, Mirzapur: The Movie reunites audiences with some of the franchise’s most iconic characters, including Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna Bhaiya and Guddu Pandit. The trailer brings back the intensity, dark humour and larger-than-life dialogues that have defined the franchise, while expanding its world on a scale made for the big screen.

At the heart of the story is once again the fight for the Gaddi. With new daawedaars (English translation: contenders) entering the race and established power structures being challenged, the stakes are higher than ever. This time, however, the battle extends beyond Purvanchal, taking audiences into the deserts and a vast new cinematic landscape.

Alongside the return of familiar faces, the film introduces new characters who add further layers to the ever-expanding Mirzapur universe, setting the stage for a cinematic chapter that looks to deliver everything fans have come to expect — and much more.

The film features Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, written by Puneet Krishna, and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani.

Mirzapur: The Movie is set to bring its Bhaukaal to cinemas on 4 September 2026, releasing in Hindi and Telugu, and is poised to be one of the biggest theatrical events of the year.
