DARBAR FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2026 PROGRAMME FEATURING ITS FIRST-EVER MIDNIGHT CONCERT

Darbar Festival has announced its 2026 programme, returning to the Barbican Centre from 28 October to 1 November with five days of world-class Indian classical music, artist talks, wellbeing events and family-friendly experiences.

The UK's leading festival dedicated to Hindustani and Carnatic music, this year's edition is themed The Shock of the New, celebrating artists making their Darbar Festival debut while introducing the festival's first-ever midnight concert.

Across the Barbican Hall and Milton Court, audiences will experience performances from some of the finest musicians in Indian classical music, including sarod duo Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, vocalist Sandeep Narayan, sitar maestro Ustad Irshad Khan, violin virtuoso Kala Ramnath, veena exponent Jayanthi Kumaresh, and many more.

Beyond the concert programme, Darbar Festival continues its mission of making Indian classical music accessible to wider audiences through artist talks, an Indian Classical Music Appreciation Course, documentary screenings, live-music yoga sessions, raga meditation and family events.

For more than a decade, Darbar Festival has transformed the Barbican into a celebration of one of the world's oldest living musical traditions, presenting both legendary masters and the next generation of artists to audiences in the heart of London.
