“RAMAYANA: RISE OF A LEGEND” ARRIVES IN UK CINEMAS THIS NOVEMBER

The timeless Indian epic Ramayana comes to life on an extraordinary cinematic scale in Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the highly anticipated epic will arrive in UK cinemas on 5 November 2026, in time for Diwali.

Inspired by one of the world's most celebrated ancient stories, the film follows Rama, a prince bound by duty and sacrifice, and Ravana, an immortal king driven by vengeance. As their destinies collide, an epic battle unfolds, exploring themes of righteousness, courage, love and the eternal struggle between good and evil.

Ranbir Kapoor stars as Rama, Yash takes on the role of Ravana, and Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. The cast also features Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, bringing together a stellar ensemble to reimagine the legendary tale for a global audience.

Behind the film is an acclaimed creative team, with Nitesh Tiwari, director of Dangal, at the helm. The film's score brings together Academy Award-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, while visual effects are led by DNEG, the award-winning studio behind films including Dune, Interstellar and Inception.

With spectacular visuals, an ambitious cinematic vision and a story that has resonated across generations, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend promises to bring a fresh scale to a timeless tale. The film will be released in Hindi and English, including screenings in IMAX and premium large formats.
