SPECIAL LONDON SCREENING OF WARNER BROS.’ “CLAYFACE”
Last night, Warner Bros. brought media, content creators and industry guests together for an exclusive multimedia screening of Clayface, offering an early look at one of the DC Universe’s darkest and most unsettling cinematic stories ahead of its UK cinema release.
The screening gave attendees the opportunity to experience the film’s chilling blend of psychological tension, body horror and comic-book storytelling, introducing a distinctive new chapter in the evolving DC Universe.
Directed by James Watkins, Clayface follows Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood star whose career is shattered after a brutal attack leaves him disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his former life and identity, Matt turns to an experimental treatment that promises to restore his appearance, but its devastating consequences set him on a terrifying path of transformation and revenge.
Starring Tom Rhys Harries in the title role, alongside Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan and David Dencik, the film moves beyond conventional superhero storytelling to explore the darker side of ambition, identity and the pursuit of perfection.
The multimedia screening provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with the film, with media and content creators able to share their experiences and build awareness across their respective platforms.
Blending disturbing visuals with an emotionally driven narrative, Clayface marks a bold shift in tone for the DC Universe, embracing the horror genre while exploring the humanity behind one of Gotham’s most recognisable characters.
